General DescriptionThe MIRA Therm wood-aluminium system is based on the classic basic design for wood-aluminium systems. MIRA Therm uses a flush construction, which makes it ideally suited for facades in contemporary elegant designs. The profiles create clear lines at the visible edge. The particular strengths of this system are versatile solutions for demanding architecture at a high technological level. The diverse range of profiles leaves no design wishes unfulfilled: All standard window designs and types of openings can be implemented in various styles and profile widths. All kinds of slanted windows and round arches can also be provided.Designs with the same wood thicknesses for casements and frames are possible with adapted profiles. Together with the fashionable, milled glass bead of the casements, this design is an especially economical and efficient wood-aluminium window construction option.Mullions and transoms, available in various widths, permit even complicated window divisions. The frame connections can be carried out either welded or with stable, punched corner connections: Element sizes up to 3.5 x 2.5 m are available. |
StructureThe glass is taken up protected in the wooden groove. The edge of the insulation-glass plate is thus well insulated against heat loss. The glass is placed into the casement from the outside, covered with the aluminum shell, and sealed. The aluminum shell is the weather-protective element, and also an architectural element which can be color-designed at will. The wooden frame provides stability and outstanding insulation, and gives the house a pleasantly comfortable character. The aluminium frames are generously rear-ventilated, and are fastened to the wood tension-free with stable holders: That lets the wood breathe, and the aluminium frame expand due to temperature fluctuations without hindrance.Circumferential gaskets at the casements and rod frames provide reliable insulation and noise protection. If necessary, they can also be sealed with system gaskets between the aluminium frame and the casements. The groove drainage is normally accomplished invisibly and without bothersome drainage caps. |
