Visually Apealing Sash Design General Description
The essential formation characteristic of BRAGA Integral system is the masked casement with the narrow frame exterior. Fixed glazing and casements are not architecturally distinguishable from the outside. The design provides a maximum of light entry.
The diverse range of profiles leaves no design wishes unfulfilled: The system is ideal for panel windows in mulliontransom curtain walls. Windows, doors and fixed glazing are also usable as single windows and window hinges in masonry.
The BRAGA Integral wood-aluminum system is based on the classic basic design for wood-aluminum systems, with the same wood thicknesses for casements and frames. Together with the fashionable, milled glass bead of the casements, this design is an especially economical and efficient woodaluminum window construction option.
All kinds of slanted windows and round arches can also be provided.
The frame connections can be carried out either welded or with stable, punched corner connections: Element sizes up to 3.5 x 2.5 m are available.

Structure
The reception of the glass is protected in the wooden groove. The edge of the insulation-glass pane is thus well insulated against heat loss. The glass is placed into the casement from the outside, covered with a stable glass bead and a vulcanized gasket frame, and sealed.
The inner sealing toward the glass can be accomplished with gray or black glazing gaskets, as desired, or implemented with silicone. The aluminum frames are generously rear-ventilated and are fastened to the wood tension- free with stable holders: That lets the wood breathe, and the aluminum frame expand under temperature fluctuations without hindrance.
The aluminum shell is the weather-protective element, and also an architectural element which can be color-designed at will. The wooden frame provides stability and outstanding insulation, and gives the house a pleasantly comfortable character.
Circumferential gaskets at the casements and rod frames provide reliable insulation and noise protection. If necessary, they can also be sealed with system gaskets between the aluminum frame and the casements.
The groove drainage is normally accomplished invisibly and without bothersome drainage caps.

PERFOMANCE

Thermal Performance

BRAGA Integral achieves very good insulation values of 1.8 W/m²K at the frame Uf as per DIN EN ISO 10077-2.

BRAGA Integral has the certification of Load Group C, DIN 18055, Air-Tightness Level 4 as per DIN EN 12207, and Driving-Rain Tightness 9a as per DIN EN 12208.

Uw values depending on:
• the respective glazing (Ug values)
• the type of wood (softwood or hardwood)
• the glass separator (standard aluminum or Thermix system)

Assumption: Window size 1230 mm x 1480 mm (test-window dimensions), single tilt&turn sash.
